DWIGHT NEWMAN OBITUARY
Dwight Newman
June 1, 1936 - January 19, 2021
Kennewick, Washington - On January 19, Dwight Newman, 84, peacefully left this earth surrounded by his loving daughters. Dwight was born June 1, 1936, in Blue Eye, MO, to Jewel and Darline Newman. Dwight lived his life through his horses and working on his property. He also enjoyed training a horse or two for the race track and traveled to many places to watch them perform. A member of the Local Ironworkers Union, Dwight spent the majority of his earlier years working construction on Dam sites. It wasn't until 1972 that his family relocated to Kennewick where he worked at Hanford and eventually retired.
He is survived by his brother, Melvin of Frisco, TX and sister Madeline of Springfield, MO; daughters Lucy (Rob) Nelson; Debbie Cole of Kennewick, WA; son Rick (Helen) Newman of Oro Valley, AZ; grandchildren Marcus & Chad (Ashley) Nelson; Kim (Damon) Armeni, Lucas (Kare) Cole, Angela (Mike) Finney; Lauryn Newman, Michael Griffith, Benjamin Griffith; and four great-grandchildren – Dalen, Brooke, Logan, London, Lincoln, and Cora.
