John Henry "Jack" Adams, age 80, of Lenoir died August, 14 2021 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care- Lenoir. He was born May 5, 1941 in Winter Haven, FL to the late Mary Vest Adams Copeland. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by one brother, Lee Copeland.
Jack took great pride in his 50-year career where he edited newspapers and worked with the Presbyterian Layman. Among his greatest passions were his family, golf, hunting, and teaching adult Sunday School.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Nancy Dunn Adams of the home; three sons, John (Carolyn) Adams, Michael Adams, and Philip (Susan) Adams; six grandchildren, Sarah, Jack, Caitlin, John, Lily and Alex; one sister, Mary Emma Rosenberger; and one brother, William Copeland.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Oakwood Presbyterian Church, 3665 Deerbrook Road, Lenoir, NC 28645 conducted by his son, Philip.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
