Jeanette Bernice Reed, 91, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the Masonic Care Community.
Born on July 19, 1930, in Utica, she was one of ten children born to Joseph and Rose (Mieszczak) Tobiczyk.
Jeanette was proud to be valedictorian of her graduating class at New York Mills High School.
On May 12, 1951, Jeanette married William G. Reed in St. Mary's Church, New York Mills. They enjoyed 69 years of marriage prior to his death on September 23, 2020. She was the Head Cashier at Loblaw's in New Hartford prior to retiring.
Jeanette was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was the caretaker of anyone who needed help within the family. Some of her favorite times were spent at their camp on the St. Lawrence River and traveling to Canada at every opportunity with her family and friends.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, William, Jr. and Deborah Reed, Whitesboro; grandchildren, Kristen Reed and Brian (Kristin) Reed, all of Rochester, great-grandchildren, Madeline and Emilia, and many nieces and nephews. Jeanette was predeceased by her siblings, Frank, Stephen, John, Nellie, Josephine, Stella, Mary, Anna, and Lottie.
In keeping with Jeanette's wishes, funeral services will be private.
