Helen Louise Fancher Reed was born to Anna Gertrude Toppins and Clark L. Fancher on February 23, 1937 in Tulsa, OK. She entered her Heavenly home on Sunday, July 17, 2022.
Helen married the love of her life, Hubert Reed, on June 26, 1953. She enjoyed a life of service to others. This was easily seen while Helen worked as the Director of Social Services at Go Ye Village in Tahlequah for over twenty years before her retirement. Her service extended to her family and friends in a multitude of ways. She was a devoted mother to her four girls when at the age of 36 she decided to learn to drive and work outside the home. Helen enjoyed having a house full of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially on holidays. Helen loved puzzles, romance novels, scented lotions, makeup, and jewelry. She loved to collect knick-knacks as well as memories. Of all the beautiful things Helen collected, her family was her favorite.
Helen was welcomed into Heaven by those who preceded her; husband, Hubert Reed; two daughters, Cheryl Hogue and Gayla Moore; her mother and father; two brothers, Les and Jack Fancher; two sisters Imogene Matthews and Mary Lee Hellard; four brother-in-laws, Troy Manes, Johnny Reed, Jimmy Reed, and Check Hellard; two sisters-in-law, Doris Price and Lily Mae Manes. They are rejoicing in her presence today.
Helen will be greatly missed by those who have survived her here on Earth: her two daughters, Lynda Barton of Skiatook and Karen Walker of Heavener, OK; one son-in-law, Jim Hogue of Tahlequah; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Jarrod and Betty Lou Barton, Audra and Dalton Briggs, and Ashley and Kyle Winton, all of Skiatook, Karie Farris of Bokoshe, Jennifer Johnston of Poteau, Terry 'TJ' Wilson and Anna Hogue both of Tahlequah and Kaylee Moore of Michigan; 16 great grandchildren, Dakota, Brooklynne and Bailee Farris; Aiden and Nichole Powers, Dillon and Piper Briggs; Caden and BreeAnn Barton; Kage, Deacon, Lillie, and Emma Wilson; Griffin and Lynlee Winton; and Aniely Tran; one brother, Ed Fancher and wife Norma; four sisters-in-law, Louise Fancher, Bonnie Reed, Nora Hildreth, Letha Cronin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will all miss her greatly.
