John worked for Durez Plastics in North Tonawanda for over 35 years, retiring in 1983.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a life member of American Legion Post 1451. He was a member of the Adams Fire Company in the Town of Wheatfield for over 35 years and was an active member of Payne Avenue Christian Church in North Tonawanda.
Husband of Betty (Appleton) Painter for 68 years.
