A memorial service will be conducted for Lawrence Adusky, a former Marshall resident who was shot to death during a robbery in Michigan.
Mr. Adusky, 42, a vice president of Little Caesars, had moved to Michigan
from Marshall. He died Jan. 2 when he was shot at a car wash in White Lake Township during an attempt to rob him.
A Navy veteran, Mr. Adusky was hired in 1972 in Detroit by Little Ceasers. He worked himself up through the ranks, opening chains of stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania.
He came to Pittsburgh in 1983 and spent 10 years in Pittsburgh, developing 35 Little Caesars carry-outs. His wife, Terry, opened three Little Caesers in the North Hills for the family's franchise.
Dan McSweeney, senior market director for the Eastern region of Little Caesars, said, "Little Caesars in Pittsburgh was Larry Adusky."
Mr. Adusky moved to Michigan in November 1993 when he was promoted to vice president of national company operations.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Matthew, at home; two daughters, Jennifer and Laurie, both at home; his parents, Marjorie Jeanne and Dennis Griffith Adusky of Tennessee; a brother, James of Colorado; and a sister, Donna Pearsall of Michigan.
Funeral services were held in Michigan. Burial was in Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley, Mich.
The memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Ingomar United Methodist Church, 1501 W. Ingomar Road in the North Hills."
