Beloved son, brother, husband, uncle, and friend Jerry Laing lived a full life and touched the hearts of many people. Jerry passed away on July 12, 2022 at the age of 48 after a courageous battle, surrounded by loved ones who will honor his legacy by continuing to show the bravery and tenacity that Jerry embodied.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Jerry. He loved spending evenings at home with his husband Armando and his beloved pets whom he considered to be his babies. Jerry never failed to make us laugh with his "scare cam" videos that he shared on Facebook. He was a talented singer and dancer who always had music playing wherever he was. Jerry was always willing to be a listening ear and gave out sage advice to his friends and family. He was a trusted confidant to many. Even in the face of adversity, he sought to live life to the fullest. The imprint he left on our hearts will never be forgotten.

Jerry is preceded in death by his grandparents, Maria and Tom Mills of Crossett, AR., and Alma and Marvin "Chick" Laing of Bastrop, LA., his sister Kim (Laing) Parker of Brandon, MS., and step-sister Jerri Katherine (Barnett) Riles of Bastrop, LA.

He is survived by his husband Armando Maldonado Laing of North Little Rock, AR., his mother Teresa Laing, his father and step-mother Jerry and Linda Laing, his sister and brother-in-law Renee (Laing) and Mike Berry, step-brother Larry Burnett and Holly Denmon, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-niece, great-nephews, and cousins. Special friends left to cherish his legacy are Mitchell Scarlett , Donnie Buwe, Karl Black, Zach Jeffery, and Allen Williams.

Funeral services will be held July 23, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Hamburg, AR. The graveside will follow at Egypt Baptist Church Cemetery also in Hamburg, AR. His eternal ashes will be interred between his Sister Kim Parker and his Mammaw Alma Laing per his wishes.
