LORD, GLADYS GRAHAM age 93 of Jefferson City passed away 11:45 am Wednesday November 3 1999 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center following a brief Illness. Preceded in death by her husband Claude Blake Lord; parents, James Rufus and Mary Manley Graham; brothers Ernest, John, and Bill Graham; sisters, Leila Graham Proffitt and Margaret Graham Vance. She was a graduate of Maryville College. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Jefferson City. Retired from Knoxville City School after 33 years of teaching in Knoxville, Kingsport, and Jefferson County. Member of Monday Literary Club. Member of Retired Teachers Association, Les Amies, San Souci, and A.P.T.A. Active at Glenmore and Ramsey House. Pink Lady at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 6, 1999 at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Robert Reno officiating. Family and friends will gather Saturday at 12:45 p.m. at the gate of Lynnhurst Cemetery to proceed to the graveside for a 1:00 p.m. interment service. Family will receive friends Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church prior to funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to "Young Life Campaign", P.O. Box 520, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80901.
