Frankton
Home Absten, one of Frankton's promising young men who has been working in the Deschutes country near Madras, died up there last Sunday. The body was shipped to Hood River. The funeral was held in the Bartmess chapel Wednesday. Interment in the Idlewilde cemetery. The bereaved family has the sympathy of their many friends in Frankton.

Homer Absten Was Buried Yesterday
The body of Homer Absten, aged 25, who died Monday at Madras, where he has resided for the past several years, was brought here Tuesday afternoon, and funeral services were conducted at 11 o'clock yesterday morning at the Bartmess chapel, Rev. J. L. Hershner officiating. Interment followed at Idlewilde cemetery.
Young Absten is survived by his father, F. R. Absten, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. W. W. Schlagel and Miss Alma Absten, the latter a teacher, of Portland; Virgil Absten, Camp Lewis, Wash., and Mrs. Robert Tazwell, Frances and Sylvan Absten, Hood River.
