Pierre Jerome Wasamimet was probably born at the Abenaki village of Odanak in Quebec. He was the son of Francois Pierre Wasamimet and Marie Josephte Annance, both of Abenaki of that village. He served as Chief of Odanak and served in the British military during the War of 1812. Was a maker of baskets. Married Catherine Lombard.

Peter Emmett died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. harry Williams in Warsaw, Saturday aged 90 years. He is survived by his widow, one daughter and 2 sons, Gordon Z. Emmett, of Thousand Island Park, and Rev. H.H. Emmett, of Greenville, PA., for several years pastor of the Baptist Church in Warsaw.
