Jack was a veteran of the US. Army proudly serving his country during the Korean War from 1953-1958. Upon his honorable discharge, he had earned the rank of 1st LT and later was promoted to Major while serving in the USAR. Jack was part owner of Paramount Systems in East Hartford, CT and also owner/operator of Clavius Inc. Jack was baptized a Charismatic Catholic. He was a parishioner of St. Junipero Serra Parish/St. Margaret Mary Church in South Windsor. Jack was a Lay Minister of Evangelization for the Arch Diocese of Hartford and he studied Greek under former Archbishop Whelan.
In addition to his beloved Margaret, Jack leaves his four children Pamela M. Moore of Sleepy Hollow, NY, Thomas F. Walsh and his fiancé Emer Coyne of Avon, Maureen E. LeRoux of South Windsor, and John D. Walsh III and his wife Margaret of Manchester, six loving grandchildren Brienne Kinney-Moore and her spouse Jason Kinney and their daughter Gemma Kinney, Sarah Moore, Molly Farmer and her spouse Jesse Farmer, Liam LeRoux, Ryan Walsh and Jack D. Walsh IV. His sister Frances Filos of Danbury and several nieces, nephews and their families.
A calling hour will be at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road in South Windsor on Friday the 22nd of July from 9:30-10:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Road, in South Windsor. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Hillstown Road Veterans Cemetery, Manchester. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, CT Chapter or to St. Junipero Serra Parish.
