Charles William "Bill" Campbell, Woodston, passed away on July 15, 2022, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, KS, at the age of 85.
He was born on December 20, 1936, to John Scott and Iva Marie (Hendrickson) Campbell in Osborne County, Kansas. Charles married Kathleen Strutt on August 11, 1960, in Hays. They were blessed with five children: Annette, Rodney, Kirk, Theresa, and Lisa. They later divorced.

Charles grew up in Osborne and graduated from Osborne High School in 1954. He was in the Army National Guard from 1957 to 1963. A farmer and a jack of all trades, Charles built his own home without any plans. He built many terraces, bird feeders, and other wood crafts in his shop. He loved gardening and old farm equipment and tractors. He was a member of the Solomon Valley Antique and Engine Association.

Charles was a hardworking, loving, and dedicated father. He loved what he did and did what he loved. Although he will be greatly missed, his life, his love, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Charles is survived by his children, Annette (Richard) Paulson of Woodston, Rodney (Jorja) Campbell of Stockton, Kirk (Linda) Campbell of Woodston, Theresa Campbell (Rayford Franklin) of Scandia, and Lisa (John) Couse of Plainville; siblings, Charlene Tuxhorn of Smith Center, Sylvia (Ed) Reinking of Smith Center, and John (Marjorie) Campbell, Jr of Portis; sister-in-law, Vesta Campbell of Wichita; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and special companion fur baby Arli.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Iva Campbell; brother, Wendell Campbell; sisters, Shirley Hays and Irene Macy; and two grandchildren, A.J. Couse and Todd Paulson.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Osborne City Cemetery in Osborne. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Stockton on Friday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.
