Karol was born May 16, 1947, in Tulsa, OK, to Robert Price "Bob" and Kathleen Lee "Katie" (Wallace) Park. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 8, 2022, in Sperry, OK.
Karol grew up on the family farm and received her education at Sperry where she graduated with Class of 1965. Karol married Richard David Akin on July 23, 1968, and they made their home on the family farm. Karol started her banking career with 4th National Bank, Tulsa and ended her banking career at American Bank, Tulsa. After retirement, Karol decided to give back to her alma mater and worked in the cafeteria at Sperry Schools.
She is survived by her sons, Richard David Akin, Jr., and Robert Duncan Akin; sister, Lana (Park) Clark and husband, Dick; brother, Robert Park; three grandchildren, Louden Akin, Lakelee Akin and Acey Akin; nieces and nephews, Lisa Hagemeister and husband, Kirby, Tracey Juby and husband, Mike, Kit Clark and wife, Liz, Madison Bay and husband, Shane, Captain Bay, Amelia Bay, Levi Juby, Jagger Park, Cooper Park, and Jacob Clark; and many other relatives and friends.
Karol was preceded in death by her husband, David Akin, parents, Bob and Katie Park; and grandparents; A.B. and Estella Park, Edra Taylor Wallace Avant, and Guy Wallace.
