John Michael Wright, age 84, of Lithia Springs, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022. He was born June 29, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Mr. Kenneth Alfred Wright and the late Mrs. Blanche Pauline Millikin. Mr. Wright enjoyed pond fishing and any good fishing hole. He also liked gardening and growing vegetables. He loved playing the guitar and enjoyed singing and playing with his daughter Michele. He was a huge Cincinnati Bengals football fan and had a big love for astronomy.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Judy Wright and Lorna Nan Kellison.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Joann Wright; daughter and son in law, Michele (Bill) Johnson of Flat Rock, AL; son, Mike Wright of Chattanooga, TN, step daughter and step son in law, Debbie (Craig) Foster of Fruithurst, AL, step son and step daughter in law, Jackie (Jessica) Gore of Hiram; brother, Larry (Sandy) Wright of Brookville, OH; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville at 3:00 PM with Brother Danny McGouirk officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville.
