Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Ann Henry will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, with Reverend Conrad Champagne and Brother Lee Manuel officiating.
Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Henry, 76, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Baton Rouge, LA.
Shirley was a loving mother and lost a huge piece of her heart with Jason's passing. She was a loving grandmother with a special place for Jessica. She was a long-time cashier at Buddy's IGA, where she was known for her "Package Help." She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Donald Ray Henry; her son, Jason Lee Henry; and her parents, A.D. & Essie Jordan.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include one daughter, Sissy Jordan, and her husband Louie, of Beaver Creek; brother-in-law, Ronald Henry of Oakdale; four grandchildren, Jessica Jordan, Misty Willis, Stacey Jordan, and Luke Jordan; five great grandchildren, Shannon, Alexis, Cash, Jake, and MayLynn; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Charles and Margaret Powers of Oakdale.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Monday, July 18, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
