["Jofa" is the result of a misreading of "Yost" inscribed in the old German script on the now eroded, original stone. See note under Gravesite Details.]
Gravesite Details
The grave marker is a replacement of an older stone that was removed and placed behind the church. The inscription on the older stone is:
Zum/ Andenken am/ [illegible] Yost und Dorothea/ Stroh/ geb. 22/ Feb. 1867/ Gest. 21 Juni 1890/ Alt. 23 Jah.
