Annie Ruth Crews, 86, died on Thursday, July 14, after a period of declining health. Mrs. Crews was born on January 19, 1936, in Stokes County, to the late Andrew Stonewall Jackson and Daisy Mae Mackie Duggins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her seven siblings, Ed, Junior, Leonard, Robert, Eileen, Ruby and Lucille.

Annie was a faithful member at Crews United Methodist Church. She loved her family and friends. Annie always shared acts of kindness through her talents in baking, sewing and visiting the elderly. Two of her favorite hobbies were flower gardening and yard selling.

Annie was a wonderful, devoted and adored wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years; son; daugher; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service and burial at Crews United Methodist Church on Sunday, July 17 at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends after the service in Memorial Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crews United Methodist Church, 4150 Reidsville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
