Husband John Clark Griffin Sr.
Children: John Clark Griffin Jr, Philip Mitchell Griffin, and Michael Louis (Lori) Griffin.
Brother: Malcolm (Sandra) Krebs.
Grandchildren: Rebekah (Joel) Haubold, Erika (Derek) Robinson, Stephen (Amanda) Griffin, Jennifer (Seth) Robinson, Saralyn Griffin, Philip Griffin. Olivia Griffin, Mitchell Griffin, and Clark Griffin.
Great-Grandchildren: Ellen, Eve, William, and Mary Haubold; Makenzie, Sawyer, and Naomi Robinson; Vivian and Henry Robinson; Gracelynn Griffin;

Joan Griffin was a devoted Mother and homemaker. She enjoyed being involved in scouting as a cub scout den mother, running concession stands, never missing a little league game, and always attending activities of her children. She especially enjoyed music, playing French horn, piano and her electronic organ. She had a passion for reading and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed gardening, especially roses and geraniums. While living in Gulf Breeze Florida, she volunteered her time to support the local Power Squadron. She spoke fondly of her childhood in Pascagoula, being the daughter of a shipbuilder.
Her memory will also be remembered by a monument that will be placed at Krebs Cemetery located at 4602 Fort St. in Pascagoula, MS
