Due to cancer, Shirley had to go on disability from Wheaton Van Lines, where she was a supervisor in the traffic department, a job she dearly loved.
Shirley loved helping others she previously was a CASA worker. She also volunteered in her community with The Madison County Fire Rescue House.
Shirley is survived by her very special brother, Rick (Debbie) Joslin and family; brothers and sister, James, Gary, and Priscilla Joslin and their families; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Wendy and Jerry Gregory and family, Mike Lowder, who had always held a special place in her heart, along with Jay and Melody Mallernee. Also surviving are special cousins and caregivers, Gina and Joslin Bronnenberg; a host of friends, neighbors, and church family.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Evie Ray and Sidney Stokes, Jiles and Rossie Joslin; parents, Alma Ruth Joslin Hobbs and James David Joslin; sisters, Patricia True, Lisa Baker, Ethel Raye Alarcon, Marshia Gail Carson; daughter, Shelly Ann and special friend of 34 years, Pat Miller as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
