Loren Steven O'Neal, 48, pioneer Lake Chelan area resident, died in the Spokane Veterans' Hospital Friday following a long illness.
Mr. O'Neal was born February 17, 1907 at Lakeside.
He was married to Gladys Garton at Chelan. Mr. O'Neal serviced in the U.S. Army in World War II participating in the African and Italian campaigns.
He is survived by his widow, Gladys; four sons, Buck and Dale Garton of Chelan; Fred Garton of Bryon, Texas, and Ronald Garton of Ogden, Utah, now serving in the Air Force; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Lynn of Chelan; two brothers, Burl L. O'Neal of Chelan and Elmer O'Neal of Fairbanks, Alaska; one niece, Mrs. Wayne Dauncy of Spokane and one nephew, Donald O'Neal of Chelan.
Services were held Tuesday.
