Dwight B. Caldwell, 77, of Clarendon, Arkansas passed from this life into his heavenly home on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Little Rock.

Dwight was born on September 23, 1944 in Clarendon to the late Claude and Venie Caldwell. He went to school in Helena, attended church and did all the typical things a young man his age normally did.

Pondering career choices, Dwight decided to join the United States Army. He served two tours in Vietnam before returning home. After serving his country in the military, he continued to protect and serve others by working in law enforcement. He was a security guard in Dumas and Memphis and a policeman in Clarendon.

During his leisure time, Dwight enjoyed spending time with family. He loved nature, travelling and good food. He also attended church at Clarendon Church of Christ, where he was a member.

Survivors are his son, Tony Caldwell (Shonda) of Star City; Saundri Ashcraft (Jeff) of Batesville; sister, Alice Nolen (James) of Clarendon; and sister-in-law, Sharon Cladwell of Clarendon and a host of nices and nephews who will always miss him and cherish their memories of him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; a daughter, Candy; his parents, Claude and Venie; two brothers, William "Butch" Caldwell and Robert Caldwell; and three sisters, Gladys Gasaway, Marie Green and Alma Williams.

Services will be on Monday July 18, 2022 at 11:00A.M. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye
