She was born Feb. 21, 1907, at Braymer, Mo., to Fred and Pearl (Jennings) Leakey. She attended school at Brayer. She married Joseph W. McLallen March 21, 1938, at Black Oak, Mo. The resided in Missouri until 1937 when they moved to the Lake Chelan area. In 1943 they bought an orchard at Manson which they operated until 1963. They then purchased the Applewood Motel in Chelan and operated it until they retired in 1975.
She was a member of the Manson United Methodist Church, the Manson Grange and the Garden Club.
Survivors include a son, Jerry McLallen of Monroe; three daughters, Patty Sue Armbruster of Manson, Bonnie Oestreich of Chelan and Enabelle Faidley of Susanville, Calif.; a sister, Evalee Lawrence of Elizabethtown, Ky., 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in April, 1988, and by a brother and a sister.
