William S. McCracken, 82, died in the local hospital May 13 after a long illness.
He was born in Colfax, Iowa, September 30, 1875, and spent his early life there, coming to Chelan in 1938. He resided in Lakeside for many years. His wife preceded him in death in 1948.
Survivors are five daughters, Eunice Pisani, Chelan; Ellen M. Misamore, San Francisco; Alice Johnson, Marysville, Ca., Beryl Knott, Kalamazoo, Michigan; Inez McCracken, Woodward, Iowa; and five sons, Walter, Arch and Ernest all of Michigan, Ira and John in California; 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held tomorrow.
