Ira D. McCracken, 53, died Saturday in Brewster.
He was born April 17, 1918, in Iowa and grew up there, living in Michigan a short time before coming west to Seattle. He served in the armed forces during World War II and was living in Olivehurst, Calif., until three weeks ago when he came to Brewster to work in the apple harvest.
Surviving are three brothers, Archie and Ernest, of Olivehurst, and Walter, of Michigan; three sisters, Eunice, of Potlatch, Idaho and Ellen and Inez, of Olivehurst; and a son, David.
