John "Benny" Benjamin Creel, 79, of Old River, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. He was born March 28, 1943 in Colmesneil, Texas to mother Ruby Nugent. He is proceeded in death by his daughter Linda Lou Bulliss, his mother Ruby Nugent and ex-wife Donna Lynn Creel.
Daddy was a beloved husband of many years, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, boating, camping, and spending time on Lake Sam Rayburn. You could find him most days sitting on his back porch watching all that Mother Nature had to offer.
Benny is survived by his daughters Penny Sue Matheson and fiancé Spencer Laney, and Kari (Ryan) Oliver; grandkids Davin (Tina) O'Bier, Summer (Jeff) Erickson, Blake Matheson and fiancé Michelle, Rebecca (Bruce) Schober Jr., Melissa Sue (Judson) Soule, Dustin Summers, Shane (Alexandra), Dillion Oliver and McKenzie Oliver. 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a special friend, aka the son that he never had, Richard Blanchard.
He will be dearly missed by all.

A graveside service for Mr. Creel will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, July 15, 2022 at Sterling White Cemetery Pavilion in Highlands, Tx.
