Franklin Marvin Starr, 86 of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, January 31th in Cabot. He was a member of the Church of Christ and son of the late Francis and Margaret White Starr.

He was a veteran of WWII having served in the Army Air Corp were he received four bronze stars. He also at Redmond Motors for 23 years were he was a supervisor, he was also a retired barber and farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Joyce Terry Starr, four brothers: Joe, Eldon, Ancel and Fay, and by three sisters: Jewell Hill, Leota Bartley and Mary Nell Harlan.

Survivors include a daughter Beverly Coltrane and husband John, and a son Marvin Keith Starr, six grandchildren: Melissa Parker, Rebecca Johnston, Amy Hughes, Amanda Covington, Crystal Harkness and Jeff Coltrane and also by eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Bobby and two sisters, Floy Free Biggs and Norma Ray.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at Roller-McNutt Chapel in Conway with interment to following at Brown Cemetery in Barney. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 on Friday, February 2nd at the funeral home. Online guest book www.rollerfuneralhomes.com
