Marcus A. Beardsley enlisted as a Private in Company G of the Reorganized Fourth Michigan Infantry on September 12, 1864, for 3 years service, at age 16. He was mustered into Federal service on September 15, 1864. On September 5, 1865, Marcus was admitted to Harper Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He was later discharged for disability on January 25, 1866, at Detroit, Michigan.
