Richard T. Harris, 98, died peacefully, Monday, July 11, 2022 at the Sandy River Center in Farmington.

Mr. Harris grew up in the Tenants Harbor area and made his career as a property manager and landlord, owning several properties in the Rockland area.

Enlisting in the U.S. Navy, he served during WWII, working with the Radar systems aboard a Grumman Airplane.

Throughout his life, Richard was very close with his mother, Margaret, and credited her with his extensive and wide-ranging knowledge including playing the violin and speaking Latin.

He will be sadly missed by those who loved him, including his long-time friends and care givers, Richard and Renee Grey of Rockland.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 2 p.m., at Achorn Cemetery, Rockland.
