Langdale Friends Mourn Death of Mrs. R. J. Matthews.

The friends of Mrs. Hubert Wilkerson sympathize with her in the death of her grandmother, Mrs. R. J. Matthews, which occurred early Sunday morning at the home of her son, W. C. Blackmon, at Penton, Alabama.
Mrs. Matthews formerly lived in Langdale and was lovingly known as Granny Matthews by scores of friends.
She is survived by one son, W. C. Blackmon; one sister, Miss Vick Jones of Notasulga; one brother, Reese Jones of Atlanta; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was buried at Shiloh.
