Roger was an outgoing, kind, and loving person. He retired from Rockwell Automation as a pilot. He loved having a profession where he was able to travel throughout the United States and abroad. He also loved traveling with family and friends, including his trips to Alaska and various vacation cruises. After retirement, Roger and Janet resided in Florida from October to May. Roger enjoyed golfing and spending time with his friends and family. He was especially fond of his grandchildren.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; wife Janet Moore; sister Sharon Ommodt; brother-in-law Ed Johnson; nephew Greg Feivor; and great-nephew Brad Crouse.
Roger is survived by his children Brian Moore and Kim (Brian) Wahl; grandchildren Lily and Ben Wahl; brother Mark "Randy" (Cathy Thompson) Moore; sisters-in-law Doris Feivor, Alyce (Jim) Kocal, and Sherry (Jack) Richards; brother-in-law Fred (Linda) Feivor; nieces and nephews, including Debora Marshall, Jackie (Jason Thomas) Ommodt, Nancy (Matt) Novy, Cathy (Dale) Gaudette, Jane (Brian) Jones, Kent (Marie) Griffin, Shane (Gwen) Griffin, Diane Feivor, Dave (Denise) Feivor, Todd (Julie) Templen, Craig (friend Marlene) Templen, Rod (Bethany) Templen, Bekki (Shannon) Lange, and Emmi (Mike) Evans; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank those that cared for Roger while he was at Froedert Hospital, including the time he was with Horizon Home Care and Hospice.
Roger's children would especially like to thank Ron and Nancy Nerby for their love and care of their dad and for being exceptional friends. They would also like to thank all of their dad's Florida and Wisconsin friends and family members for their support and kindness throughout the years. They are grateful their dad was well-loved.
The funeral service for Roger Moore will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Chaplain Mike Amberg officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be made in the Resting Green Cemetery in Ironton at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
