Rebecca Ann (Bailey) Willis, 49, of Marion, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, in her Marion home. She was born in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday, November 30, 1972, to Marvin and Patricia Bailey.
Rebecca graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1991 and went to IU, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Biology. She went on to earn her Masters degree in Adult Education. She loved teaching at Ivy Tech and then worked with Indiana State Vocational Rehabilitation.
Rebecca loved animals, especially helping her daughter show horses and dogs in 4-H. She was also a 4-H leader. She liked gardening, particularly growing flowers, as well as celebrating holidays with her family. More than anything, Rebecca had a giving nature and loved to help others.
Survivors include her father, Marvin (Pam) Bailey of Wabash; son, Jordan (Summer) Willis of Gas City; daughter, Leah Ann (Josh Rowe) Willis of Arcadia, FL; grandson, Aiden Gebhart; granddaughter, Scarlett Willis; brothers, Dan Bailey, Byron Bailey, and Jon Bailey; sisters, Rachel Bailey, Jenny Bailey, and Julie Bailey; two nephews; and several friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia A. Bailey, and brother, David Bailey.
A celebration of Rebecca's life was held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 6:00 pm with a brief public memorial service until 6:30 pm followed by food and drinks until 9:00 pm at Harrisburg Event Center, 409 N. 1st St., Gas City, IN 46933.
