Kimsey Sherrill Ayers, 93, of Bostic, died Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

He was the widower of Hazel Parker Ayers, and a son of the late George and Daisy Ayers. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jack Ayers, Jay Max "Pete" Ayers, and Lox Ayers; and a stepdaughter, Peggy Averrill. Sherill worked for General Motors in Flint, MI for 35 years, and was a US Army veteran serving in Japan during the Korean War.

He is survived by his brothers, Wray Ayers of Satellite Beach, FL, James Ayers and his wife Mary Ruth of Rutherfordton; his sister, Linda Eacho of Bostic; his sister-in-law, Emma Sue Ayers of Ellenboro; his beloved caregiver, Tonya Jackson; and his much loved nieces and nephews and a large extended family.

The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Pisgah United Methodist Church. The Rev. Michelle Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow it the church cemetery.

The Visitation will be from 10 am until 11 am Saturday in the church, prior to the service.
