Linnie Dame Frink was born February 19, 1904 in Homerville, Georgia to Adeline Hargreaves and George Melancthon Dame. Mrs. Frink is the last surviving member
of a family of eight children which included the late Fleming C. Dame, formerly the Saint Lucie County Judge. She married the late A.O. (Oscar) Frink , Jr. in 1925 with whom she was co-owner and operator of Frink Furniture and Music until their retirement in the 1970's.

Since 1924 Mrs. Frink was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Pierce where she served as Sunday school teacher, children's worker, church library director, and soloist in the adult choir. She was the author and producer of several church historical pageants, and in 1993 she compiled and wrote "A History of the first Baptist Church of Fort Pierce, Florida, 1890-1990."

In addition to her work in the local church, Mrs. Frink also served as writer, teacher, and consultant to the Indian River Baptist Association, the Florida Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. Materials written by Linnie Frink were published in the children's curriculum of the Southern Baptist Sunday School Board, Nashville, Tennessee for several years.

Mrs. Frink was involved in local civic and community service organizations including the Soroptimist Club of Fort Pierce, Palm Vista Garden Circle, and as a volunteer at Heathcote Botanical Gardens.

Linnie Dame Frink is survived by a daughter Arlia Almond of Fort Pierce, a son George Frink of Charleston, South Carolina, a daughter Louise Willmott of Asheville, North Carolina and a number of grandchildren, great-grand-children and great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at First Baptist of Fort Pierce, 4500 South 25th Street, from 1-2pm on October 13, 2000. Funeral service at 2pm, with Rev. Craig Bridgers officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in Fort Pierce.
