Willie Vaughn Gainey passed away July 23, 2020 at NHC HealthCare, Garden City, SC.
Mrs. Gainey was born December 19, 1932 in Chesterfield, SC, the daughter of the late Spencer and Ruby Adams Vaughn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, the late James Lavin Gainey (father of Melissa G. Vick) and first husband, the late Robert Belk Adams (father of Virgil and Wayne Adams); 2 brothers, Clarence (Buff) Vaughn and Johnnie Vaughn; and 3 sisters, Ollie Rivers, Virginia Walters and Mary Lefler.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa (Ted) Vick of Pawleys Island, SC; 2 Sons, Virgil (Rebekah) Adams of Wilkesboro, NC, and Wayne (Pam) Adams of Chesterfield, SC; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, July 26, 2020 at David's Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
