Alice, the 15 months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Courtland Arne, residing at 1622 Le Claire street, passed away at home of her parents at 8 o'clock this morning. Spanish influenza being the cause of death. Both parents are ill with influenza and are in serious condition.
The child was born July 30, 1917, and is the granddaughter of E. B. King, proprietor of the grocery store at the corner of Fifth and Brady streets.
Owing to illness of the parents the remains have been taken to Fred N. Ruhl funeral parlors, 504 Brady street, from where the funeral will be held Tuesday. Services will be private and internment will be at St. Marguerite's cemetery.
