Mr. William "Walker" McDade, 92, passed away on July 12, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11 AM in the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Milledgeville with Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Friday from 5 PM to 7 PM.

Mr. McDade was a native of Putnam County and had lived most of his life in Milledgeville. He was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson McDade and the late Mary Grace Newsome McDade and was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Josey McDade; brothers, Frank McDade, Fred McDade, Robert McDade; sisters, Mary Blizzard, Florence Bentley, Sarah Harris; and Effie Mickler. He had worked for J.P. Stevens, McGaw, and retired from Central State Hospital. He was a member of the Long Lake Hunting Club and a member at Mosleyville Baptist Church. Mr. McDade was a Veteran of the United States Navy.
