DUNKIN, JAMES WILSON, age 79, of Alabaster, died February 7, 2003. A Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at All Saints Episcopal Church. Mr. Dunkin was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Audrey H. Dunkin. Survivors include: daughters, Cathy Boardman (Mark) of Homewood, AL and Joanna Prentice (Gavin) of London, England; grandchildren, Wilson Boardman, Christy Boardman, James Prentice and Harry Prentice; sister, Betty Lou Shank of Indianapolis, Indiana and cousins, Sandra Pittman and Natalie Crawford of Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Dunkin served in the United States Army in Europe during World War II. He received his Bachelors degree from the University of Louisville and his Masters degree from Columbia University. Mr. Dunkin was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and the American Legion Post 134, he was also a Mason and a Shriner. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be given to All Saints Episcopal Church located at 110 West Hawthorne Road, Homewood, Alabama 35209. Services are under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel (879-3401) in Homewood.
