1832 at the early age of 36; married about 1820 Abigail
Corliss Stone of East Berkshire, Vt., who after his death
lived with her children at St. Albans, Vt. Probably studied
medicine at Woodstock (Vt.) Medical College and other
schools. Had won high regard in his chosen profession. He
was called in attendance at the birth of Chester A. Arthur,
who became president of the United States.
