Teresa was born on February 1, 1932 to William and Mary (Duggan) Reynders at St. Mary's Hospital, Green Bay Wisconsin.
Teresa graduated from St. Joseph's Academy as Valedictorian in 1950. Teresa was a devout Catholic and chose to have her funeral at St. Patrick's church because it was there that she was Baptized, received her First Communion, was Confirmed, attended eight years of grade school, and was married.
Teresa married her high school sweetheart, Robert J. "Bob" King at St. Patrick's Church on September 17, 1955. They were married 28 wonderful years until his death on February 17, 1983. Together they had four children – Margaret "Peggy" Ruth (Dennis) Kocken, Michael Robert (Carol) King, Barbara Ann (Dan) Peterson and Mary Patricia (Brian) Cerasoli. She had eight grandchildren – Kevin and Heather Kocken, Brent and Rachael Kocken, Kathleen (King) and Blair Erdahl, Rebecca (King) and Todd Bertram, Lauren King, Hilary (Peterson) and Lewis Bertolucci, Timothy Peterson, and Jack Cerasoli (fiancé Genna). Terri is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Olivia and Lucy Bertolucci, Nora and Emmett Erdahl, Carter and Henry Kocken, and a great-granddaughter Bertram expected in November.
Terri was employed by the Green Bay Area Public Schools for 31 years, the last 27 as the school secretary at Chappell Elementary School. She always loved her job, the principals she worked for, the dedicated teachers, the parents and especially the children. She felt as if she were a "Grandma" to all of them. She retired in 2003 at the age of 71.
Terri's life revolved around her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with them through the years and spending glorious summers at her cottage at Shawano Lake. Many, many happy memories of the wonderful years at the cottage will never be forgotten by her loving family. Teresa hopefully now serves in Heaven as a guardian angel for her four children, their spouses, her eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, their spouses, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Ann Boyle, Elm Grove, Wisconsin; her brother-in-law, Richard Johnston, San Francisco, California; and nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son-in-law, Brian Cerasoli, her twin grandsons (Kocken), her brother and sister-in-law, William and Jeanette Reynders, her sister, Mary Johnston, and her brother-in-law, Joseph Boyle.
Friends and family will gather at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 211 N. Maple Ave., from 10: 30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, July 7; Memorial Mass to follow at 12 p.m.
Her family would like to thank her friends and the staff at New Perspectives for making the past six years so enjoyable. Mom was proud to have been the first resident at New Perspectives.
