Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of historic Baker Funeral Home.
He was born Dec. 31, 1935, in Brenham. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors: Children, Annetta Meneses, Teresa McCaster and James Abbs III, all of Austin; brother, Herbert Abbs of Fort Worth; and seven grandchildren.
