Elsie (Smith) Wilkerson Brown, age 97 of Philadelphia passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 surrounded by her family, at the home of her grandson Tyler. Elsie attended New Life Worship Center in Loudon. She worked in housekeeping for many years, working at several different locations. Elise co-owned and operated Tennessee Valley Music Company with her husband, Roy Wilkerson. While married to her husband Cleason Brown, she was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 120 and the VFW Post 5150. Elsie was a hard working woman with an independent spirit. She enjoyed traveling around the country and fox hunting with her family. Elsie was known to make the best biscuits and gravy, bar none. She liked to work Word Search puzzles as she believed they helped her to keep a sharp mind, and her mind was certainly sharp. Elsie truly loved and cared for others, traits well shared and reciprocated by those she called family.

Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, Claude Oscar and Coral Ellen (Williams) Smith; husbands, Roy Wilkerson, Sr. and Cleason Brown; son, Roy Wilkerson, Jr.; daughter, Gay Robison; grandson, Randy Lawson; sisters, Elizabeth Webb and Marie Hatcher; brothers, Jimmy Smith, Edward Smith and Sammie "Bee" Smith. She is survived by her devoted and caring family, son-law, Claude Robison; grandchildren, Tibetha Dilts, Tyler Lawson, Jessica Nokes, Joe-Michael Robison, Roy Wilkerson, III (Trey); 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special nieces, Phyllis Crowder, Peggy Watkins and Patsy Williams.

A graveside service to honor and remember Elsie will be held 3:30 PM Thursday, July 14th in the Loudon County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jeff Schrimsher officiating. The family will receive friends 1-3 PM Thursday at McGill Click Funerals & Cremations, 1366 Highway 72 N, Loudon.
