Darren Grey Collins, 22, passed from this life on July 10, 2022, while stationed on the U.S.S. Carl Vinson CVN-70 in San Diego, California. Darren was born October 4, 1999, in Vidalia, Georgia.

Darren graduated from Broken Arrow High School. He was a member of Broken Arrow High School Robotics Team, JROTC, and was part of the Civil Air Patrol. He was a martial artist as well as a kickboxer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church Broken Arrow, and every year would help with Vacation Bible School. He went to church camps as well as on multiple mission trips which included Hurricane Harvey Relief, Houston 2018. Darren had been an intern with Broken Arrow Police Department. Darren enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2019.

Darren is survived by his parents, Beth and Ira Hayes, and Kelly Collins; brothers and sister, Cody Lawrence Collins, Abigail Rose Collins, and Austin Louis Hayes; grandparents, Sylvia Rochester, Clara Koenig, Ann and Lawrence Collins; numerous aunts, uncles which includes Julie and Chris Lujan; host of cousins and friends. Darren was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lionel Dee Rochester.
