He was born in Valley View, Kentucky on Monday, June 27, 1932, the son of the late Alfred and Lola Rhodus Kelly (Baber). Ray was retired form R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company where he worked as a Boiler Operator. He was a Veteran of the Korean War where he served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 12. He loved to hunt and fish and mow his yard taking pride in the fact that he kept it neat. Ray enjoyed the company of family and friends and enjoyed "picking at them and cutting up with them." He was also preceded in death by one brother, Norman Gene Kelly.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, one son, his sister, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
