Larger than life, loads of fun, and beloved by all who knew him, Casey Lynn Powell, 63, widower of Cynthia Hernandez, departed this world, Sunday, July 10, 2022, at his home with his loving family and friends by his side.

Casey has gone on to see his parents, Norman Legette Powell and Ella Lou Barnhill Powell; and his brother, Norman L. "Bubba" Powell, Jr.

He was born September 17, 1958, in Hemingway.

Casey was a grill master, craftsman, and carpenter. He was the guy to put in charge of the pig roast and any construction project. He enjoyed working in his garden and was an avid fisherman. He was a retired industrial construction worker as a pipefitter from coast to coast. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
Casey was a hero to his family. They adored him and he adored them.

He leaves behind his biggest fans: daughters, Brandi Gadsden (Fred) and Jessica Skeen (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Nicholas Fulton (McKenna), Andy Fulton (Ashley), Slayder Tilton (Sarah), Casey Tilton, Lana Tilton, and Freddie Gadsden; a great-grandson, Logan Fulton; his sister, Vickie Brown; a niece, Ellen Powell; his nephews, Ward Powell, Davis Brown, Louie Brown; his uncle, Charles Richard Powell; his aunt, Pauline Barnhill; and a special friend, Joyce Williams.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
