Frank Douglas Hall, 95, husband of the late Kathleen Caldwell Hall, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at his home. Born October 18, 1926 in Lexington, North Carolina, he was a son of the late William Thomas Hall and the late Nora Shook Hall. He is survived by his son, Jeff Hall, of Washington, DC; grandson, Brian Christopher Vetter, of New York, New York; and granddaughters, Mary Kathleen Porter and Caroline Connor Vetter, of Spartanburg.

Mr. Hall was a 1943 graduate of Woodruff High School and attended the University of Georgia before serving in the United States Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years where he served as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher. Mr. Hall was the owner and proprietor of Frank Hall Tire Service, which he operated from 1958 through 2002 in three successive Spartanburg locations. He was a founding member and two-term president of the South Carolina Tire Dealers Association and a member of the board of directors of the National Tire Dealers Association for over 40 years. After retiring in 2002, he received the Order of the Silver Crescent from then Governor James Hodges in recognition of exemplary community contributions and achievements. The Tire Industry Association honored him in 2003 with the National Industry Pioneer Award.

In addition to his loving wife, Kathleen, he was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Susan H. Fisher.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 15th, 1:00-1:45PM at First Baptist Church Spartanburg. Funeral services will begin at 2PM in the Davis Chapel.

A private burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
