Sharon graduated in 1959 from Vista Maria High School in Detroit, the went on to receive her Associates Degree in Nursing from KCC. She passed her Boards exam in nursing in 1978. She was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Sharon was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, and traveling with her husband.
She married Jack A. Stinson on December 30, 1959 he preceded her in death on July 30, 1974. They had five children, Starr L. Foreman, Penny L. Miller, Tracy L. Cristiano, Jack A. Stinson, and Jason A. Stinson. Sharon remarried on November 23, 1979 to Charles Cook. He also had five children; Darlena Harshman, Sherry Jackson, Cindy Nobles, Charles A. Cook, Debra Donley, and together 25 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, son, Charles A. Cook, sisters, Dolores Smith, Ramona Sixberry and Nadine Bender.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Friday July 15, 2022at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fr. Jacob Thomas, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
