Mrs. Phyllis worked in banking, real estate, and as an assistant magistrate. In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing and painting.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert R. "Dutch" Johnson, and her brother, Donald Bennett.
Survivors include her two sons, James E. Johnson of Carrollton, Georgia, and Gregory T. Johnson of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; grandchildren, Luke R. Johnson, Matthew T. Johnson, Lisa M. Alexander, Jessica B. Bradley, Rosina Robinson, Anna C. Thomas, Laura E. Thompson, and Joshua A. Johnson; and eleven great-grandchildren.
In keeping with the family's wishes, her body will be cremated and there are no services scheduled at this time.
Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
