Overseer Victor Bernard Jackson Sr., son of the late Joseph Redd and the late Mary Bell F. Jackson was born on June 2, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life after a lengthy illness on Saturday, June 18, 2022.
Overseer Jackson affectionately known as "Pastor Jackson" or "Vic" received his education from Baltimore City Public Schools System. After high school, he joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged. After serving in the service, he served six years in the US Army Reserves and received numerous awards and certificates for his faithfulness and dedication. Overseer Jackson knew business. He was a true businessman down to the last receipt. He and his wife also successfully owned and operated a beauty business formally known as The Neighborhood Beauty Boutique for 25 years. Upon the leading of the Lord, he closed the business in 2005 to do ministry full-time at Greater St. Stephens Church of God Apostolic Faith Inc

Overseer Jackson knew at the age of 16 that God had called him to the ministry to serve, but he ran for many years until he got tired of running. He was ordained as a Minister and Elder at Memorial Institutional Church of God under the leadership of the late Apostle Albertus Martin. After serving Apostle Martin faithfully in ministry for many years. He later was led by the Holy Ghost to join Greater St. Stephens Church of God of the Apostolic Faith Inc., under the leadership of the late Bishop George W. Williams. Overseer Jackson was ordained Pastor Elect after the passing of Bishop Williams and later became Overseer. He Pastored for 28 years and was faithful to the ministry and his calling.
In 2012, Overseer Jackson founded the Mass Fellowship Churches which consisted of 5 other churches. During his time in ministry, Overseer Jackson has preached and taught the Word of God at many churches in Baltimore, Maryland and out of state (including Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Delaware, and many other states). In addition, he was commissioned as a Notary Public Officer of Maryland State for over 10 years. Also, he was a licensed Life Insurance Agent with several companies, and licensed Real Estate Agent with Song Home Realty LLC.
Overseer Jackson was an advocate of education and biblical studies. He went back to school and graduated from The Baltimore School of the Bible in Baltimore, Maryland in 2003 at one of the tops of his graduating class with a 4.0 GPA, and perfect attendance. Furthermore, he encouraged all his children and the additional children that he helped raise to go to college, get a job, make plans to be your own Boss, and/or go into the military. He stressed these principles, and he had a special saying, "No free rides at the Jackson house and he meant just that!" Not only did he push and support his children, but he also pushed and supported his wife to go back to school and to pursue her dreams after raising all their children. She received 4 degrees with his full support. Overseer Jackson never took anything for granted and lived his life one day at a time. He was so grateful to God for what he had done for him and what he had accomplished in his life. His faithful sayings were, "I love Him!" and "this place is not my home", "I'm just a Pilgrim passing through". Overseer Jackson was a praying man of faith that believed God was with him no matter what. He was very serious about the work of the Lord and the business of the church. He was blessed to have a wonderful, loving, supportive wife, family and a congregation of people that loved him unconditionally. He was truly a family man and loved his extended church family. It wasn't nothing that he would not do to help his family, other people and his members. You knew when you were in trouble, when you were called to his office or he looked over his glasses at you. Overseer Jackson was blessed to have true friends in the Gospel and clients from his formal business that became his family, and he could call on them at any time if he needed help.
