Johnny Aguilar, 82, of Tomball, Texas went to the Lord's presence on Friday, July 8, 2022 at his home. Johnny was born on February, 2, 1940 to Abel and Elvira Aguilar in Los Indios, Texas. He was married to Lydia Garcia on March 10, 1958, celebrating 64 years of marriage.

The Lord blessed them with children and sons-in-laws, Elva Alcorta, married to Jerry; Irene Villarreal, married to David; Johnny Jr. who preceded him into the Lord's presence at the age of 18; Melinda Harrell, married to Tim; Cindy King, married to Mark; Jeannie Crippen, married to Bobby; and Lisa Gonzales, married to Michael. His grandchildren and grandchildren-in-law are Jerry Alcorta Jr., married to Lixy; Amy Rodriguez, married to Chris; Anna Darias, married to Anthony; Nicole Minchey, married to Derek; Christina Garcia, married to Erik; Natalie Villarreal; Nena Hines, married to Alex; Megan Howard, married to Jake; Brittany Brewer, married to Anthony; Larissa Aguilar, Brenna King, and Mikey Gonzales. His great-grandchildren are Alli, Caleb, Ashton, Aly, Grayson, Jonathan, Aubrey, Brayden, Matthew, Ava, Avery, Leyton, Johanna, Paisley, Alijah, Shane, Luke, Liam, Landyn, Adelynn, Layla, Beckett and Chloe. Johnny's surviving siblings are Anita Ramirez; Viola Garcia, married to Daniel; and Abel Aguilar, married to Jessie. He has numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Nicolasa Garcia, Luisa Guerrero, Albert Aguilar, and Lollie Rios.

Johnny loved the Lord and gave his life to Him in 1976, serving Him in several churches in various positions and opportunities. Johnny enjoyed sharing the gospel and talking about the Word of God. His passion was also for his family and had the biggest smile on his face when around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was happiest around his family. He will be remembered for his joyful and friendly personality by his friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. His family and friends have been blessed to have him in our lives.

We thank Pastor Dennis Carlson, his first pastor as a Christian, and Pastor Larry Maddox, longtime family pastor and friend, and also Pastors Al Navarro and Gary Snyder for being his most recent pastors. Also, we would like to thank Traditions Hospice for their care and service during his last moments.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., Rosenberg, Texas, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
