James Gregory "Greg" Woods, 73, passed away on July 1, 2022, at West Florida Hospital. He was the widower of Lynda Marie Odom Woods. They shared 36 years of marriage together.
Born in Asbury, Alabama, he was the son of James Howard Newton Woods and Anne Florence Brackin Woods. He graduated from Woodham High School in Pensacola FL. He retired from Champion International Paper Company where he worked as a chemical laboratory technician.

He was a member of the American Legion, Post #340. He enjoyed his family and friends, his dog Petie, his cat Voodoo, boating, the beach, and trivia.

He is survived by daughter, Tracey White, son-in-law, Michael White, daughter, Deneese Woods, very special best friend, Sam Dean, grandchildren, Brooke Putnam and Brandon White, grand-son-in-law, Jay Putnam, and great-grandchildren, Jaxon Putnam and Aiden Putnam, brother, Stan Woods, sister-in-law, Melissa Woods, and sister, Sandra Johnson.

Pallbearer: Grandson - Brandon White, Grandson-in-law - Jay Putnam, Lifetime Friend - Jake Bouchilon.

The memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens on 9 Mile Road with interment at the Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM with a service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion, Post #340, 8890 Ashland Avenue, Pensacola FL, 32534.
